For fifteen generations, the Gonnell family has adhered to its philosophy of producing the best possible extra virgin olive oil. As the leading olive oil producer in Tuscany, the Gonnells have also introduced several innovations to production over the centuries that are now industry standards.

Gonell uses its own patented manufacturing methods that are not found in other producers.

It is a matter of honor for the family business that the olives are pressed and bottled immediately after picking.

All production steps take place in an oxygen-free environment, ensuring that the end result is organic and high-quality olive oil. The olive oil bottles are topped off with a cap that prevents backflow.

The Gonnell family olive farm is located in the heart of Tuscany, where they take care of 48,000 of their own olive trees located between Florence and Siena. The Gonnell brothers bought the Santa Téa estate in 1585 and olive oil has been produced in the area since 1426. The microclimate of the Reggello plateau is just right for olive oil production. There, the olives ripen 400 meters above sea level in the hot Tuscan sun, which is how they acquire their unique, characteristic flavor.
