Prized organic matcha powder from shaded plantations. Horai is the highest matcha grade. Mild and sweet, with a delicate finish and a bright emerald green colour. Horai is the name of a mythical island in Japan.
Higher-grade matcha comes from carefully selected tea plants that have been shaded for longer. The result is a higher amino acid content, a sweeter and smoother taste in the cup and a more intense green colour.
