I Peccatucci di Mamma Andrea is a Sicilian company based in Palermo whose story began in the 1970s, when Andreina De Cesare moved from Rome to Sicily. A theatre costume designer by profession, Andreina combined her creativity with confectionery and developed the first products on the veranda of her home – no fewer than 47 different ones.

The company brings together Sicilian confectionery tradition, craftsmanship and creativity. Traditional recipes and old production methods are preserved while new products are developed, such as liqueurs, savoury preserves and marmalades.

Mamma Andrea draws inspiration for her products from Sicily's nature and ingredients. According to the company, more than 80% of the raw materials come from the local area and are processed within 24 hours of harvest. Production uses, among other things, manna from the Madonie, pistachios from Etna, citrus fruit from Val di Noto and chocolate from Modica.

Peccatucci di Mamma Andrea describes its work as a blend of tradition, art and sustainability – with the aim of preserving Sicily's flavours and traditions and bringing them into a modern form.
